I stopped in Anthropologie the other day because a friend of mine told me that they had paper bees in their newest display. So, of course I get in the car and drive over to see them. I didn't find paper bumble bees. But I was so drawn to their "bee" theme. They had potted lavender, A display from floor to ceiling of honey, fields, books on bees and old flea market finds of bee props. The sweetest was packaged lavender seeds with a handmade tag that said"Save the Bees"

Sure enough, this morning as the sun welcomed me with it's warmth I look down in my lavender plant and find this friendly little bee. I never knew that lavender is the main flower bees are attracted to. I think I will have to plant some more!

I'm sure most of you know how never is the history of humanity have we seen so many bees die. I know, it's sad. But this morning when I found this little bee it put a smile on my face. And it does feel good knowing I planted that just for him. I hope you can find a little place in your garden and experience the same thing I just did. ;)

Beautiful all those bees, Noel, xv.
Doesn't Anthro have the most imaginative window displays? Love them! And lavender, of course. Bees were long a symbol for French royalty. You can find them on many things in antique markets. That pillow is lovely.
Noel,
What is so strange is that I just went to Anthropologie this weekend also! (And for me it was my first time- I know, I am behind!) I took several pictures of window displays and little vignettes throughout the store. The theme in Fort Worth's(South Lake) Anthropologie was also like that of a bee. I was planning on doing a couple of posts over my visit in a couple of weeks! Did you take any other pics? I would love to see the different displays the NYC Anthropologie had!

Thank you! I love bees and my neighbor has four hives so in our neighborhood we are all focused on helping the bees! Later this spring I hope to post a neighborhood tour and I plan to picture our bees. This is fantastic! Between the nests and the bees, I am sure we are of kindred spirit!
J'adore Anthropologie...my current fav place to shop!

Hi Noel!
What a sweet post for the BEE! I am loving the little bee pillow. My favourite is seeing a BIG FAT BEE buzzing about. Always brings a smile to my face.
