Yesterday I had a request to make a Paper TuTu!

As my head dances with ideas and gathers inspiration... I thought I would share with you the beginning thoughts of my new creation~
There's something about Tutu's and ballet slippers... nothing is more feminine than that!

Marie, from Atlanta explains how she has a girly pink room and wants a Paper Tutu to set under a glass dome for display. I absolutely love the idea and picture it in a room similar to this. Filled with soft pinks and ever so girly!

You are so right - nothing is more feminine, gracious and lovely than a ballerina. Can't wait to see if the tutu is illusion tulle, soft chiffon or lace.

Noel,
I just love tutus, pink tulle, anything you can twirl in or flounce about in! In fact, my banner is a photo of my own dusty pink petticoat skirt (although I should be brave enough to wear it more often!) I have been collecting pictures for a post that will fit your tutu theme, but it may be a while before I have time to post it!! Can't wait to see your paper tutu!

GREAT idea, Noel! I think no matter what style you have, every girl loves their tu-tu! Even when I dressed in "romantic gothic". I can't wait to see yet another whimsical creation of yours.

I love tutus too! My little neighbor is always playing outside in her tutu. Her Mom says if you can't wear one about when you're 5, when can you? Oddly enough my neighbor is my old ballet teacher!

Me again. I just saw this post and was wondering if you posted a picture of the finished tutu? I'd love to see it. Ballet is such a huge part of our family, thanks to my Holland whose passion is pointe. Thanks Noel!
